National Legislation

On August 16, 2023, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the FDA must restore safety regulations for women who take chemical abortion drugs.

These safeguards…

-reduce the maximum gestational age for a chemical abortion from ten weeks to seven weeks

-authorize physicians alone (not other healthcare providers) to prescribe the abortion pill

-ban the mailing of abortion pills

-mandate abortionists to report ALL adverse effects for women who have taken the pills  (not just maternal deaths associated with the pill)

-require abortion-minded women to have three in-person visits with a doctor (to confirm pregnancy, take the pills, and follow up to check for complications)

This ruling protects the health of women who are misguided about the dangers of these pills. However, it will not take effect unless the Supreme Court reviews and affirms it.

Thank you for praying for life!
