Each year, Right to Life of Southwest Indiana invites high school students to participate in the annual Right to Life Oratory and Art Contests. The awards offered are $1,000 for 1st place; $500 for 2nd place; and $250 for 3rd place. Participants must create an original oratory or artwork piece based upon a specific theme (designated by RTLSWIN). See the information below for contest details.
2024 Art Contest
The Right to Life of Southwest Indiana Art Contest strives to promote the ability of high school students in grades 9-12 to share their pro-life views with others. Eligible students will create an original piece of pro-life art guided by the theme “LIFE, The Greatest Gift,” emphasizing the pro-life movement’s support of both mother and baby. Artwork will be displayed at the 2024 Annual Banquet.
2024 Oratory Contest
The Right to Life of Southwest Indiana Oratory Contest strives to help high school juniors and seniors organize and express their views via an essay/speaking contest. Eligible students will write a 5-7 minute pro-life speech and present it on February 22, 2024 for a panel of judges. Students may address the following issues: abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, or stem cell research.
