History
Students for Life of America (SFLA) is a national organization for pro-life high students who want to help abolish abortion.
Kristan Hawkins created this group and has led it full-time since 2006. SFLA, headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, staffs nearly 80 individuals full-time and serves 1,400 pro-life student groups in all 50 states. Combined, these groups donate millions of dollars in volunteer service each year to women and families in need.
SFLA strives to connect with those who are most abortion-vulnerable, provide support for women and families in crisis situations, and petition for legislative changes to protect the preborn.
In southwest Indiana, SFLA groups are active in nine high schools and two universities. Gibson Southern High School’s SFL group was voted the Best New Group of the 2022-23 school year!
